DD, it would be a cruel blow to our club if we lost 2 in the mid-year draft. How many drafts do the AFL clubs need to get their lists organised? 
I don't have a problem losing players to the AFL. If they are good enough they deserve the opportunity. But for a club like ours trying so hard to rebuild for the future, it throws a bit of a hammer into the works.

On the positive side Smokey it might fast track the development of others and unearth some new talent. But yeh it's tough I agree how many fricken drafts do these pricks need? There should be a mid season trade period between AFL clubs not picking at the carcasses of second tier comps tearing us apart.

What I heard from the top was Richmond were keen on Hunter. I said FMD they already stole Bradtke off us they should give him back. Watch this space.

Anyone else think William Wolf showed a bit playing full forward in the reserves? Stats don’t tell the whole story. He led well but often got missed by shite kicks.

Great to hear that. I didn’t catch the 2s but saw he had a goal from limited possessions. Hopefully he’s got the building blocks needed for Smith and Germo to work with

Yes indeed! After so many years things are looking up - AFL poaching excluded of course,,



 

AFL drafts are an ongoing nuisance to 2nd tier comps. We cannot control losing our players. 
When our players are drafted, we should tell them we are proud of them and look forward to watching their AFL journey. And, this is important, we must be in constant touch with them so that they know we are watching and following their experiences and are with them all the way. 
Then at the end of their AFL time they will hopefully want to come back to the club that they started with.
