Now i’m not fully opposed to it, but it just seems so opportunistic now as if all hope is lost. From an outsider’s point of view, it must look like standard PFC performances have resumed, but surely if he watched any of the games he would see the start of something differently and know that it isn’t going to happen in 2 games.

It is good thing Perth FC have changed their constitution - WCE , since their very first breath as an entity , tried to take the name Perth Eagles and that will be their aim for the future as they are the only team without a State or City/Town name
Make no mistake WCE will continue to attempt to merge with Perth FC until the cows come home  

Ignores the fact that Perths ressies colts and futures have had a bright start to the season, thats where their future lies. The WAFC, like with everything else, will look for a quick fix as they are not in the habit of doing the hard yards. Financially Perth dont have to merge, unlike the clusterf**k that was/is Peel. Some sensible upgrades to Perths metro and country zones will underpin the encouraging form of their lower grades and they can eventually become more competitive.

It's 2 games in with a new coach, with last weeks game against a loaded Peelmantle, so everyone needs to chill a bit and see where things stand at seasons end before throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

And that's why we need radical zone reform of country zones and PSA players so the best zones and players outside community clubs aren't locked up in one club.
