I of course can't speak for Perth supporters so this is my opinion.  The one thing that has been consistent in many of the games where Swans have played Perth at Lathlain Park Oval is the support that is there for Perth.  Given the lack of success hat Perth has had over the recent years that is outstanding.

However, I don't believe that support would remain if Perth is swallowed by the Eagles in any sort of host club alignment.  A few years ago I was told by a Perth and Eagles supporter that he would stop supporting Perth if they entered a host club alignment.  In my opinion that would be the prevailing attitude for most Perth supporters and at that stage Perth would exist in name only.

The takeover of Lathlain and the Perth Footy club.Should be the last thing on the Eagles mind atm.
They have some serious work to do in the trade period.Making good the losses from the Tim Kelly trade.They have been belted enough times this year.To suggest they may fall of the cliff after 2022. Like the Crows did a few years ago..

I’ve said all along that it is very dangerous to get into bed with the devil. It seems a complete takeover is on the cards and it is a disgrace if it happens. Our weak board and management need to stand up and represent their club. They know the vast majority of us don’t want this situation with the incarnate to occur.
where is Damien Matthews when we need him. I haven’t seen him at the footy once this year, which is strange.


 

WACA

With respect, talk about the WACA being a home to any WAFL club is complete nonsense. Some are querying the hardness of our new surface at Lathlain as possibly a contributing factor to our injury toll.

The WACA has several cricket pitches on it which can be rock hard when they are dry and turn to mud when it's drenched and cricket outfields are notoriously fast meaning they are kept short and hard. Twice as hard as Lathlain I reckon. No thanks.

With all due respect to you DD AFL was played at the WACA for a few seasons in the 90s so if they considered it suitable for their mega payed players back then I see no reason why the WAFL can't do the same...I think it is a better option than going to some South suburban ground with a Mickey mouse upgrade and the PFC fading into even further irrelevance, if that is possible.
Another option could be use the government money to refurbish our existing facilities and incorporate new changerooms thus not needing The Vic Park councils money.
probably not doable but we need to think outside the square and not get screwed over. 
What has happened to the new administrations promise of better communication? We haven't heard from the coach, or president in months. Even the mini videos featuring players have stopped pretty poor.

I'd love to know the answer to that question as well. 

It does my head in Daz, that's when rumours and innuendo start, better to have the  balls and come out and say this season has been a disaster and give the reasons why and how we will address that for next season.
I would respect them a hell of a lot more for it.

Could not agree more. That's why the silence is worrying after the flash and spin of the new regime's arrival.
