people go to the football because they love their clubs. This explains why St Kilda are still in existence after one flag in 150 years

It also explains why people still go to the football in the UK

Wonder if anyone has heard any news on Richardson's injured shoulder? Wonder if it's as bad as people say? Our bloody useless ""so called local media"" have not uttered one word of it!

I recall you saying you live in the bush (as I originally did), WAG, and today's edition of the West might still be in the beak of Seven West Media's solo carrier pigeon, but John Townsend ran a yarn about Richardson's injury.
The lead par read: "Ian Richardson's glittering WAFL career is over after he had surgery yesterday to repair the collarbone broken in a desperate attack on the ball in a bid to help Claremont win the first semi-final."
I've only met JT once and didn't find him overly personable, but I reckon he does a fine job with his WAFL coverage.

Much obliged AD.
No the newspaper does not rate as a high priority around here. Been no Wafl news on the radio at all. I know John Townsend has his detractors but I think his Wafl reporting is always good. Used to enjoy his Wafl videos last season. Sad news about Richardson. Certainly not the best way to retire from the game. And obviously a huge loss for the club. With Claremont being strong in the Reserves and Colts, I'm sure equally good players are pushing through. Richardson can hold his head high and been a fine player for many seasons.
