There you go. No side is unbeatable. Subi must have played pretty well today and good on them.

Bad luck Tigers, fell a bit short of the great EF side's achievement of going undefeated.

But guess what? You will bounce back, just hope it's not against the DEES.

Can anyone give a report on the game that saw it as being stuck at work near Timor you can only rely on the internet.

Well done Subi you guys obviously did a number on us at home, thanks for getting that monkey off our backs hopefully it will bring us back to earth for next weeks game and the winners circle.

I thought the same thing Ol Boy. The longer that unbeaten streak continued, the more pressure that mounts on the side. This is a section I lifted from the EF website with regards to the pressure of being undefeated premiers of 1946:

UNDEFEATED PREMIERS 1946
The Greatest in History

Statistically, the record of the 1946 team may never be equalled for it won the whole of its 21 League matches. As the club had won the last ten games in the previous year and won four matches at the beginning of 1947, 35 matches were won without a defeat.

At the beginning of the 1946 season, no one could have foreseen such a successful run was in sight. Midway in the season, it suddenly dawned on the players that an unbeaten season was a possibility.

The strain became unbearable, and when relief came in the form of the 21st premiership after two never-to-be-forgotten contests against West Perth, coach Dolan, said that never again would he subject players to such an ordeal.

East Fremantle beat West Perth by 4 points in the 2nd semi & by 6 points in the Grand final.

Hey Puppy dont forget that they also beat all the other grand final winners around the country as well, from what my old man told me and that they were known as the "Invinceables"

It had to happen eventually, well done subi and a good result with the royals winning enabling us to keep that 3 game buffer up the top of the ladder. I didn't think 9 and 0 was an accurate reflection of how we have been playing. We badly lack a big strong body in the forward line i believe, we cant rely on Richo, Medhurst and midfielders to keep kicking all our goals. Jones struggles now and Hamp struggles against the better back men. And Hamp - if Seaby is standing under a high ball don't jump at it, subtlely block your opponent and let Seabs mark it, you are way down the pecking order in this forward line still. Its been hard to find out any info on Mcgoverns return or Handleys.
The good thing about being depleted this time of the year is it gives blokes debuts and league experience which will be handy if they are called upon in september. Our midfield needs Blackwell to return but i'm also struggling to get any news on his fitness. Would be handy to have arguably the best player in the competition come into the side.
