No other team would have made any difference Southerner, if we were the second best team in the comp. It was always Subi first - daylight second and the rest. We did well just to make it with the list we had this season. It was men v boys. I saw this coming from a mile away because I see us play every week and the wins we had against Claremont were real arm wrestles. That's how a Grand Final should look like, when you don't know which way it's going to go till late in the game.

Agreed - what is more than amusing is the bleatings from some that it was all about the lack of effort from South on the day rather than the difference as put here.
Effort training and culture - as long as it is nothing that money can't fix.

Nah, not really, WPFC appearance in the GF was clouded by their financial collapse and scandal.

The general thought was that as SF had been the 2nd best team all year maybe they could take it up to Subi a bit better, SF actually had a far stronger side last year than this year.

The game was as predicted crap , this years was even more crap.

Tbh , I'm shocked SF even made it with out pre season loses I tipped them for a possible spoon, so I was wrapped we even made it.

But make no mistake the complaints about un even comp are not new.

Yep we did very well to go this far - and I think that's the hardest thing to take losing by that much after all the hard yards
