I like your positive outlook Southerner, but me thinks he might be another SFFC player who miraculously finds his work , life football balance and ends up at another WAFL club:angry:

This is the modern football system - AFL discards in suburban or country leagues are quite common due to the sudden need for employment dollars , have a look at how many WAFL players have left their clubs in the past 3 years alone.

The kid played State football in May, and is now playing Peel league at Baldivis. WTF you can gloss it up as much as you like and call it the modern football system. In my opinion it smells of more to the issue than you would like to believe Southerner. Over the half way mark of the year and you have a state player walking ? Hardly comforting that the club is in s healthy state...

The club's phone number is available for contact - and I will offer my suggestion for you to contact the footy department to voice your opinion on the matter Dwert , the guys are very approachable.
You could also speak to Blaine and get it for yourself he's got some close mates at South who want him back asap

I smell something much bigger.

Geez if it was much bigger it made the lads play pretty sharp footy last weekend - we were up by nearly 10 snaggers during the third quarter Dwert

Against a weakened and out of form Fremantle reserves outfit hardly comforting mate when you talk of being ten goals up during the third quarter.
Let’s see us perform against the benchmark Subiaco in the coming weeks.

More comforting than being 10 goals down during the third quarter Dwert - and I'm looking forward to the Cardinals getting stuck right into that lot this weekend to help that one , which I'm also looking forward to.

Long term beyond this year is my main concern.
We potentially could lose Hams , Cook , Hockey etc that’s a fair bit of experience and quality.
The club can ill afford to lose any more quality players of Johnson”s ilk. In recent times we have lost Sokol , Fimmano , Matera , Mirco , Dzbelich , Martinez , Branchi etc who have all hinted at lack of opportunities at the club as the reason for their leaving.
That is why I am saying there is something that is not quite right.
