Yeh we've never been able to compete with the marvelous concrete coliseum called Fremantle Oval. A white ant infested weatherboard grandstand in no mans land, pink powdery faded plastic seats that must have been there since the 70's, pay about the same as gate entry fee for parking and ridiculously priced food van. Today at Lathlain at least you would have got an ice cold beer for about $6.50 and a decent hamburger for about the same price and if you want to sit in the grandstand at least when you look in front of you you are looking at the playing arena not a car park down in the forward pocket.

Honestly Bazza what do you expect at a ground that has just begun the process of a complete reconstruction? I'm sure you are just trying to get a reaction in true Bazza form.

My advice to your club is you better be ready to move into the Mighty Dockers facilities when they vacate before the circling sharks move in and beat you to it. Then we will see the paint peeling off the old weatherboard grandstand and weeds shooting in between the cracks in the concrete when Fremantle FC vacate. No doubt they've been carrying the can for you blokes down there trying to keep it looking mickey mouse for the media scrums wanting vision of the great Ross Lyon and the mighty Pav.

What are you on about Bazza prior to lath lain being gradually and partially dismantled for new premises, it is within the top 3 WAFL grounds in the comp. Anyway a big tip to avoid a bout of piles next week "bring a chair"

I was in your archaic dump at Fremantle oval 2 weeks for the Presidents lunch and make no mistake at all Lathlain shits all over Piles Park that will also be receiving the much need bulldozer in coming years as I was informed by a South Fremantle board member - the joint stinks of porcelain garlic lol

The good thing about eagle park I guess , it will no longer have a swamp like surface , ffs that was shocker yesterday.

As for the remnants , walking up from Vic Park station, place has a morgue like atmosphere, no pubs or cafes to call into on the way in, just a heap of houses , crap boring location, worst in the league.

Then you approach, its like derelict industrial park, would not even know it was a wafl club little lone Perth, the big demon has fallen off the brick wall, but the glue outline is still there, a tacky sponosrs sign nailed over it, the former social hall now called Lathlain Function Hall, no mention of Perth Footy Club anywhere, look up at the old stand wooden lourves havent been painted in decades peeling paint , city of vic park obviously dont give a rats, then the gate, just one tiny door open , like w broom closet, a scattering of fans hudled around bins, weeds growing out oftin roof if shelter behind goals, outter a shambles, score board and time clock a joke, surface a disgrace,,, marshland ...

I Can see why the bulldozers are coming in, totaly devoid of any heritage structures, always been a sterile boring place probably suitable to the most hopeless club in the league over 3 decades.
