Yeah I met Sam in Karratha in 87/88 while I was working on Stage 1 of the Gas Storage tanks up there , really good guy

he could be mate but I recall his dad had bright blue eyes and was very fair....but don't think I ever met his mum so hey, whatever.

nice one..I played for the Dampier Sharks from 1984 to 1986. Peter Laurensen who you'd remember was the first coach then Lyndsay McGuinness took over. Oral McGuire was up there and Brad Keyser who played for Souths in the early 80's was also playing for them. We won a flag in 1984 and runners up in 85 when we got smashed by South Hedland which had Cameron Lewis and Arnold Cox....memories.

you could be right...I didn't think he had a T in his name but yeah, Lauro was ex Souths and used to get up there. I remember he got filled in by Danny Malone playing for Karratha one day which wasn't very pretty. It started an all in brawl which Buffalo McGuiness sorted out pretty quick smart.
