Was great to see the boys remain calm (tone set by the coach from what I witnessed) and believe in themselves and the game plan.

Always hard to beat Claremont away so it was a massive bonus to do so.

Umpiring was so ordinary I had to have a chat after the game. The ineptness sparked an all in at half time. truly pathetic.

Thought Cook, Hockey were great in the middle, Hams fought back after having a HEAVY tag from number 3 Hugo Breaky. Crabb of the highest order. Hams was tagged playing at full back. Word of advice Hugo (typical kind of name from a Claremont player), if you are going to make a name for yourself by doing that shit you won't last long. The big boys will clean you up mate and the way the WAFL tribunal goes these days they will get off!!!

Blaine Johnson was excellent all day as was Shaw and the backline repelled many attacks.

Hopefully Verrier, Saunders and Pullman are back soon and Hockey is ok. (Must say never saw him get hurt)

The showgrounds is embarrasing to WAFL footy. Nowhere to sit inside. Hardly any cover outside. Horses showjumping on the wing, no spare footballs at each end so the wait to get them back from down the road was laughable, 1 TV to watch some other games on sitting on a primary school desk, the chick behind the till could give me a coke zero coz she couldnt ring it up, they played EP and Subis theme song before and after the game, the female announcer had a stutter, the chips for $5 were ordinary at best, the friggen scoreboard dude couldnt add up for an hour and was incorrect often, the clock went off during the reserves game and then the last quarter stopped at 23.47????, (meant to be 28 flat mins) and that crazy fella who shouts "Clllaaaaarrrrreeeee - moooooooonnntttttt - tttiiiiiiigggggeerrrrrrrsssssss and where the bloody tiger skin hat pissed me off all day with his dribble!!!!

But we won =))))))))

Just an observation in the past three games we have had one forward from the opposition kick 5 goals or more.
EF Watson 5 goals , Subiaco Sokol 7 goals , Claremont Bradshaw 5 goals???
IMO we need to look at that urgently if we are to challenge the other teams for the remainder of the year.
Our back six needs to improve, not sure we have got the right combination atm.

LOL, yeah Showgrounds is what it is, just a tempt fix till Claremont Oval gets up and running, not the best at all...funny about the clown in the tiger skin, Ive seen him as well, at least he is a Claremont supporter as they have very very few these days.

How can the boys in green sight seven Claremont players and eleven SF players and team runner Shaun Tinsley on melee charges? It looked like the whole two teams were engaged in a little argy bargy.
It does get more confusing Cl players fined $50 each and the SF between $100 and $200? For the same melee? WTF?

obviously SF handbags were heavier than Cl handbags Dwert....thus the need for the tribunal to empty SF's more so than Cl... ......only joking, nothing wrong with a bit of argy bargy during a game.....

Mate I think you and I came from the same school of hard knocks... If you were in a school yard fight at school back in the day the penalty was the same for both protagonists .....six of the best? A little consistency Mr Heaney please

On radio it sounded like Souths were displeased with a little physical pressure on a couple of their untouchable mids in Hams and Sloithe etc. Might be a template for other top 5 teams - get physical with Souths and they don't like it maybe?
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

Fremantle reserves team will have a chance to put that theory to the test this week Swandog. Then your mighty black ducks the week after.
I will be looking forward to seeing how the Dogs handle being the hunted.

The point I was trying to make was the indifference between the penalties for an all in push and shove.... SF players 100 and 200 dollars and the handbaggers 50 dollars WTF!! Are the umpires that good that they now can determine degrees of culpability in mellees?
