Well a dismal bleak day down there that put paid to any faint hope of finals, the dockers put us away with ease in the end.

Another year no finals, it's now becoming apparent the host club deal is not fairing well for freo footy, both EF and SF are sliding into obscurity , my fear is with young talent drained away with the alignment and with the clubs dire financial situation with limited. Dollars to attract and keep players we are unlikely to be a power again, what the future holds for us does not bode well for mine , or the comp for that matter.

We'll have no choice but to go out and get some experience and make sure that any SF returning AFL guys come home as well

We've been reasonably competitive in most games been blown away twice which hurt the percentage heaps

Could a merger of South & East happen? I say that with concern & hope it would never come to that, just like I wouldnt tolerate a merger with Perth but as crowds dwindle maybe the grand plan of the WAFC is to have 1 Freo team, 1 eastern team ( SD and Pth) one Western team ( Cl & Subi) and one Northern team in WP plus the aligned scum leaving 6 teams, shorter seasons and a product that all serves the AFL, I hope none of this EVER happens but with clowns like Walton and Dorrington having high powered roles anything could happen
