Souths big bodies kicked in as soon as the rain came. Keegans torp in the last quarter was fantastic resulting in a goal. He tried again a few minutes later but it didn't work. Have to say thanks to the 42 Souths members that purchased WP membership this year. To help the club out like that rather than bagging the club shows good spirit. Also the couple of Subiaco members that purchased WP membership, thanks.

Southerner, cant see Schloithe getting time off, the replay showed him swing but didn't look like he made much if any contact, Commentators said the same, maybe a bit to the shoulder, he paid the price with the free kick reversal which cost Souths a certain goal. Apart from that brain fart I thought he played a terrific game, had less disposals that Black & Nelson but far more effective with them.

Once Souths started to turn it around half way through the 2nd qtr it looked ominous for Joondy who missed a number of chances in the first 2 qtrs, could have been 3 or 4 in front if kicked straight. Souths looked bigger, stronger and more composed once they woke up and started playing. The umpires where mind bogglingly inconsistent the free kick count at halftime was 14-7 I think in Joondy's favour, not too bad considering Souths were a bit undisciplined at times, but despite dominated after haltime, the frees count was still 2 to 1 against. Anyone how says Joondy dont get a better than good run from the maggots is dreamin'.

Should be a great contest next week, dont mind who wins, but maybe Souths given they have been so close so many times in recent years.

The free kick count yesterday almost reminded me of the 2016 GF where FART received 19 to our 6 and from memory we didn't get a free after half time....unbelievable.

According to Ric Gauci's awesome WAFL Footyfacts the free kick in the 2016 WAFL was 0 - 0. Either the umps had a lazy day or its a cover up.

When you consider your clubs financial plight,your 1173 membership figures are a very poor response by so called ''West Perth''supporters,and maybe instead of fobbing off 2 members with a bit of common of sense like Zempilas and Paul Murray who tried to re-address the clubs naming issue,i'm afraid you will always struggle off field in a region your club has failed to properly acknowledge the last 26 years.

I'm afraid your missing the whole point,a kid from the East perth region is still tied to the Royals,as is a kid kicking a footy in the leederville,West Perth area,and that particular kid has no connection to a team based in Joondalup for last 25 years,and other than Ajang Ajang and Willcocks there are only 2 other listed Ellenbrook players in the colts and reserves compared to 9 from Noranda so i would have to say for its size and scope has been a largely underwhelming area.

all they need to do is adopt both names as the cricket clubs do -- WP-Joondalup
