FMD mate read the room. I couldn't care if we could fit 20,000 at Lathlain it should be at Optus and nowhere else. Saying it would cost 100k is the most pathetic excuse. The wankers are pissed off their gravy train has been exposed so they are getting their revenge. They have auctioned it off to the highest bidder, that grub Brad Pettitt.

Given the WAFC were never going to have this years GF at Optus, which is where it should be, it was down to 2 venues, Leederville or Freo and I think they have made the best choice as Freo has a bigger capacity than leederville, Freo oval with a decent crowd has the best atmosphere of any ground imho, but they need to fix those sections of the outer that have been roped off for some time.

Yes it will be an empty feeling because a lot of us won’t be there. No way I’m going 3 hours early to get in before they shut the gates after 8000 capacity has been reached and try and pretend I’m enjoying myself sitting on concrete or some wooden bench seat a mile from the oval. They can shove the grand final up their arse.

I hope Brad Pettit blows the 20 grand they agreed to pay to host it. The idiot is probably about as capable of kicking a football as the Queensland premier.

Good to see Freo council fully back it, normally Pettit is a goose but he has been keen on this one.

Spot on...anyone who thinks Optus was going to happen with another 100K plus loss is kidding themselves. Only negative stuff I have heard about it is on this site.
