Spying on an opposition presidential campaign is probably something a sitting president would be briefed on.

I would have thought that obstructing Congress, by defying legally issued subpoenas, and preventing staff from testifying, is clearly an impeachable offence.

correct tug: the supreme court will decide on the subpenas -- if the court was to rule against him and he refused to comply with the said order of the court that would be a serious offence.

No, I mean the subpoenas that were issued as part of the impeachment investigation - which are not being examined by the SC.

It is looking at subpoenas issued in relation to Trump's shonky business dealings ie his financial records.

it is an abuse of power, as indeed was the impeachment of Clinton, which is why the Senate saved him and will save Trump in his turn.

America has always been corrupt: President Ronnie should have definitely been impeached over the Iran Contra nonsense, but nothing happened. He disregarded a law of congress and then lied to conngress and the country on the question.
