I am at a loss to understand why anyone is surprised. The VFL was the Victorian Parasite league; it remains the Victorian Parasite League and will continue ad nauseam to be the Victorian Parasite League.

S42: I would also go so far as to say that it was his duty to protect the interests of Collingwood and Victoria on this issue.

If people want to have leverage on the Victorians -- whether it be on this issue, or any other, such as, the raissing of the draft age -- the way is to threaten to pull the two AFL licences.

Quite incredible on such a significant story that all a couple of posters on here can come up with is "I don't watch the show".

I dont watch it either, haven’t for many years. Idiot show. I had always hoped that i would see some equality seeping into the AFL, but unfortunately it would seem that i will go to my grave seeing the same bias from the A/VFL. Another reason why i hate pricktoria.

Clearly this topic is not about the Footy Show and whether you watch it or not. It is about the Victorian run AFL and a club president who has a serious conflict of interest.

Why not just move the AFL GF around the country?. Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and possibly even Brisbane have suitable venues. Surely it is in the best interests of the game.

You can turn off the footy show but that won't change this rather ridiculous situation. A better option perhaps is to support the local comp and not get worked up over the competition formerly known as the VFL.

I remember there was an existing agreement between either the VFL or AFL and the MCG that guaranteed the grand final was held there for a certain number of years. This new arrangement seems to have further extended that for another twenty years without any discussion with the non victorian states. Just another indication that the AFL is really just the VFL rebranded!!!
