McGowan has to let clubs into WA, the economy is shot, the flow on effect to clubs being here will boost the economy and even he wont say no to that.

Spot on MO. I will be going to games between Victorian clubs. It will be such a rare one off event that will most likely never happen again. History will be written. It will be like visiting Melbourne and going to a VFL match, but it's being played in Perth. It's a one off golden opportunity and I think the Melbourne teams will be blown away by the crowd support.

Flow on effect before and after match will be huge for our economy.

Mate - what flow on effect? a few rooms rented at Crown and that's about it. Its not worth risking to shut down the whole joint again like the Vics are being forced to do,,,just how good is that for the economy?

Collingwood are talking of bringing 80 people to Perth, if that is for 3-4 weeks, Geelong also.
They are all tested regularly so what’s your issue ?
Full crowds for eagles and Dockers games, money flowing into business and venues west coffers, go live in a bunker if you are scared of catching the coronavirus from these blokes

Camfield, Crown, restaurants and bars in Perth and Northbridge, public transport, taxis Ubers.... It will be a bonanza as probably 3 or 4 games will be played each week plus finals. The SA premier is sticking hard on two weeks isolation so it sounds like they are not prepared to be flexible. Perth and Optus will be AFL headquarters for the rest of the season. What's not to love about that? It will create or re-employ thousands of workers.

Bazza wrote: cannot see how this shambles of an AFL season can possibly limp through to October or November in the mess it is already in. Another 72 cases in Melbourne today and now we learnt that NT has a case that was brought from Vic apparently, so it is spreading from there given a chance, I dont like NSW chances with them having open borders of not going pear shape again either.

The quality of the footy is utter rubbish and I have stopped watching it, zero interest.

McGowan would be mad to let the Vics into here.

Its time for the AFL Budgies and Shox to suck it up can it and plan and pray for a covid free 2021.

Let the WAFL play in a bubble and we should be playing full 1/4s as well like SANFL.

And we're only at the 2nd day of July and that adds to 150 cases over there for the month already. Their growth factor is currently worse than what it was in March!! If that is not cause for grave concern, not sure what is?
I heard the premier was considering opening the WA border toward the end of Aug or mid Sept. Obviously if all these plonker vic footballers are allowed in, the state border will obviously be opened this month sometime. I hope the state govt know what they are doing, and haven't gone early!
State govt will be mincemeat if it back-fires!

mate, nobody from the East is coming over here, it will be mainly locals on the train.

one pub the Camfield selling a heap of grog is not exactly a statewide boom.

Pubs and restaurants don't give a shit where anyone is from as long as we are spending. Like i said, not just Camfield which would probably employee 50 people on the day, there's Crown which i think is the states biggest single employer and restaurants and bars all over Perth not just the ones who go to the game, it will be such a great novelty to have all these neutral games being played here in Perth.
