Are you suggesting the UAE is not in Asia?
The wickets in Asia which includes the UAE are a lot different to Australian pitches/conditions (low and slow) the only comparable wicket here in the past was the SCG but even that has lost a lot of its old characteristics.

I'm saying it forms a part of the Middle Eastern sub-continent as per below...

Bahrain
Egypt
Iran
Iraq
Israel
Jordan
Kuwait
Lebanon
Oman
The Palestinian Territories
Qatar
Saudi Arabia
Syria
United Arab Emirates
Yemen

It forms part of the broader Asian continent but is more correctly identified as Middle Eastern just like Saudi Arabia and others.

Turkey should also be included in the Middle East. By 1913 the Balkan states had taken Adrianople (Edirne to the Turks), but foolishly fell out among themselves and the Turks won it back.

BC for one minute I thought you had named the Aust side for the 1st v India.....then I put my specs on!

Looks like Holland has played his last test for Aust.....looks like Paine ain't got much faith in the fella....Garry has bowled 30 odd overs and Holland has bowled twice less.....even Siddle has bowled more overs than Holland.......whose gonna save this match in the 2nd innings for Aust this time?.....interesting how the Paki seamer has taken a bucket load of wickets...yet the Aust seamers can't ....has anyone checked Abbas's pockets?......

Jackson Bird batting at #4 AR??? Sheesh Mark Waugh and co picked Joe Mennie over him for a Test in Hobart vs SA a couple of years ago because he supposedly couldnt bat!!

bease: what is the name of the left hander whom has batted in the middle order whom has done okay? That is whom I mean.

Travis Head is the bloke's name
Why is West Pakistan still batting? They drew the last test match because he batted too long.

Finch McDermott, Uzzie, Lynn, Short, Maxwell top six for me...if Aust is only gonna last for 50 odd overs due to dodgy techniques, might as well be 300 odd with those boys having a thrash...than 150.....Considering Sean Marsh ave in this series is currently 3.3 BH....I can see Arks logic here with Bird coming in at 4.....

Freezin: that is very funny: I wish Marsh was a lot more consistent with the bat.
