no, it has proven that India's top order is the  problem to the credit of our bowlers. India won the toss and stll blew it. I would rather watch this series then someone make a triple century on an easier pitch.
yes mate but India are that powerful that no pitches need to be trashed - this one has some seriously amusing stuff on the internet almost Monte Python-like the whole process

Have a look at just one of the tools used in the attachment - there are several more mate

Southerner -- thanks mate. The  problem, it seems, concerns India's apparent obsession with reaching the test final; a final, which as you know, is not overly regarded here. One way to fix the issue wpuld be to make test wins overseas count double in the qualification formula.

I think England & India were two of the biggest pushers for a championship - and both those two countries are big on the trophy thing mate
Easily the only cricket that really gets crowds in is the Ashes for Australia

It seems a certainty Australia will be looking at some hard times with the batting coming up , Warner has come out and said he's going nowhere and is not giving it away  so it appears certain Australia will go to England with two 37 year olds opening
and I'll be honest it's pretty awful watching a past it batsman fumble around at the crease
I remember watching Greg Chappell nearing the end against the West Indies getting duck after duck and how bloody horrible it was seeing that

Yeah if Warner is struggling with Mohammed Shami on spin friendly Indian pitches can you imagine how he will go against Archer, Anderson, Broad and co on English green tops? Could get ugly.
Bancroft would be a better bet to open with Khwaja in England as a right/left combination.
Would be funny if we won the WTC final then got flogged in the ashes, would demonstrate how meaningless this 2 year cycle is. England are by far the best test team in the world at the moment and they are not even in the final.

Mike those deliveries from the South African bowlers that either nailed Warner or got him out looked as though they could have seriously injured him especially Nortje
2 years ago those balls would have been deposited into the deep square leg crowd
with the seam in England he will be a sitting duck waiting to get hit

Dreadful luck for Jhye Richardson with him injuring his hamstring again in club cricket. He is out of the Marsh cup final tomorrow as well as the ODI series in India. Poor Jhye can't get on the park and there would have to be questions about whether his body is up to top level cricket. He has got so much ability so it is a great shame that he is plagued by these injuries

Yes, I don't disagree with your comments on Richardson but the guy I really feel for is Lance Morris. Australia's most lethal Shield bowler this season has been running drinks for the last 3 months. The way CA has handled his on-going development is a disgrace. As soon as Starc and Green came back he should have been released back to WA.

Southy Warner's batting struggles are not just a recent occurrence.
Remember the last Ashes Series in England back in 2019 he was a walking bunny to Broad, he barely scored a run in that whole 5 Test Series and it was embarrassing to view.
Yes he scored that 200 against SA on the MCG road but lets not forget he gave quite a few chances in that innings that SA couldnt take and then he was out the very first ball he received after retiring hurt the night before!

I hope I am wrong but my feeling is that normal service may be resumed in the 4th test. Don't get me wrong , Australia did play very well in Indore but I think the Indian team were suffering from a severe dose of complacency as well. Such were the ease of the thrashings handed out in the first two tests, India probably thought they just needed to turn up to win again.

They will bring back Shami who has been the most effective fast bowler for either team, they may look at replacing Axar whose bowling has been poor but is a very good lower order batsman. Kohli is due a big score and Pujara looks like he is running into form. I really don't think this Indian team is that good and they have been made to look better by the insipid Australian performances

Australia will probably go in with the same team unless the pitch suddenly turns green and you would then wonder which one of Murphy and Kuhnemann they would leave out. I doubt if they will have to make that decision.

Despite my misgivings about McDonald as a coach, I will give credit where it is due if they can square the series from the train wreck it was 2 weeks ago.

What i find more puzzling is Jhye hasnt played since new year and he gets picked on the back of no form and no games,,,,,,

Really have to agree with the comment, the one they have shafted is Morris, at least he can mix cordial
