BC, interesting you should say that the crowd was very loud, because on the TV the crowd noise was almost non existant.
Mark Waugh made sure the he mentioned that the crowd went silent when we were 3 for. But even prior to that.the noise was non existant. That was on Fox from Sydney / Melbourne. 
Did 7 send commentators over or mimic Fox?.

Anchor,Pointing ,JL and Allister Nicholson where on the ground after the game.
JL and Ricky P where talking about there game of Saturday morning golf, at Karrinyup.

So cheap skate Murdoch saved a few measerly dollars.
I wonder if he will ship a crew over for the final.
Is that Alister Nicholson the same guy that played footy for Melbourne ?
I remember one with same name getting smashed in the first minute of a GF. Basically never took part in the game.

I actually dont know what is worse the fact Fox Cricket are continuing to base the commentary out of their Fox Studios in Sydney or the fact the commentators still "pretend" they are there at the ground?
Of course you then have the ludicrous situation of Adam Gilchrist (who lives in Perth) and Kath Loughnan (who comes from Perth) flying to Sydney from Perth to commentate from where the actual game is being played lol.
The Henriques "6 in to the crowd" as called by Mark Howard when he was actually caught 10m inside the boundary rope was the most recent of many where they have been caught out this summer, its actually laughable as they continue to hold Perth fans in contempt and you cant take them seriously whatsoever with continual embarrassing gaffs like this!
 

BH,  on Fox, the actual catch was missed. The cameras missed it. They panned in on the crowd  then switched to the catch.
It really is a disgrace. Laughable that the Australian cricket public, not just WA, but all Australians are taken for idiots.
 

Yes I know AM as was watching it on Fox Cricket, the average camerawork caught out the commentary team big time.
Hopefully embarrassing Fox Sports enough that they stop this charade of calling out of their studios in Sydney and actually have the commentators at the bloody ground!

Its absolutely abysmal commentary, if they can't be bothered flying over people from over east why not use some local people who can at least be on the spot and use their eyes rather than rely on the camera. Yes that Henriques "6" and out was a joke.
Its the old adage, champion players do not necessarily make the best commentators. Ponting is good because he manages to mostly keep his personal biases out of his analysis. Waugh, Haddin and Lee are cheer leaders for the Sydney teams.
 

What makes it even more laughable Mike is they fly Gilchrist & Loughnan & Hussey from Perth over to Sydney to call the game from Perth and no doubt have to put them up in hotels etc.
Would it have not made more sense and been more cost effective to actually have them stay in Perth and call the game here where it was actually played???!!!

Not  sure how it will go down, but wrote a scathing post on one of the Fox cricket reports. When I get back to Perth and have my computer,  I plan on sending them a rather open and honest email about it. 
I just shudder that they will attempt to do it again during the football season, as they have previously.
BH, I am not sure that Kath Loughnanan actually lives in Perth. I know she is a Perth girl, but even during the football season she is on a lot of foot shows from Melbourne.

Yep it makes zero sense BH. They could also do without Mark Howard who over compensates for being in a silent studio rather than at the ground.
I will be amazed if Brisbane beat Sydney on Thursday. There is a massive difference between the top two and the rest. Heat will also be without their 3 test players as well
