BH, GTR, MIKEH, FR-- Where is the captain? Is he playing Shield?
AR let us hope he is not available for the Ashes as it would make our Test team better with Inglis as the keeper/batsman instead!

Wishful thinking BH.....Paine will play regardless of any lead up games he may not play.....sadly Inglis is wasting valuable red ball batting practice twiddling his thumbs sitting on that UAE pine......another JL....and Aust selectors stuff up

Would you believe that Peter Neville is the potential replacement should Paine not be fit??? What a joke. I tell you what guys, Australia are there for the taking this summer if England are good enough and believe in themselves.

FMD Mike.
If Peter Nevill is the Australian selectors next cab off the rank keeper in waiting at 36yo to replace another 37yo keeper we are seriously a joke and as bad as England's selectors were in the 80s & 90s with their Dads Army selection policy of picking guys 35yo-45yo eg- Gooch, Gatting, Cowdrey, Hemmings, Taylor, Underwood, Brearley etc.

FFS Australian selectors show some foresight and pick a bloke like Inglis at 25yo much like we did in the past with the likes of Marsh, Healy etc

No chance Inglis will get anywhere near the test team this ashes series BH.....should of been playing for WA getting some red ball cricket, instead of sitting on the T20 sidelines.....Wade was always going to be first in line.....

if Aust win this T20 WC....JL will be crowing from the roof tops saying I told you all so.....I guess  like Warner & Finch have shown, Aust will eventually find form in this format after numerous upon numerous past failures.....

Scary to read the likes of Nevill, Hamdscombe & S Marsh are being talked about leading into this series....which starts in a month, and the skipper hasn't even turned out for his state side yet in any form of cricket......

BH, i think they are trying to emulate the selectors in 1928 when Blackie was picked at 46 years old; surely the point with Neville, is that he failed last time?

George Bailey and co have selected a 15 man squad for the Ashes series coming up-

Warner
Harris
Labuschagne
Smith
Head
Kwahaja
Green
Paine (C)
Cummins (VC)
Starc
Hazlewood
Lyon
Richardson
Neser
Swepson

Looks like the selectors have continued with the consistent let downs Harris, Head  & Khawaja for the opening and number 5 position respectively.
No doubt the vocal Eastern States critics of the Marsh brothers getting chance after chance will be equally as vociferous with those Eastern States boys named above being selected who consistently fail when the heat is on or was it just another attempted dig at WA again?!

Furthermore to those Eastern State based reporters eg Jon Ralph & co they may want to have a look at Mitch Marsh's last 3 or 4 Tests vs England (the actual mob we are playing against this Summer) before they continue on their rabid rant about how poor he has been in the Test arena!
A couple of Test hundreds with the bat and a 5 for with the ball is not form to sneeze at!
